Call for the election of the first board of directors of LAWEA

On March 27th, it will be elected our first board of directors.
The elected directors will have the responsibility of being the visible face of the association to the society and the leaders of the industry in the region. They will be the representation of the organization and will be in charge of formulating strategies regarding the fulfillment of our mission, to promote the development of Wind Energy in Latin America.

We are calling on our members to applying to be part of this board. If you are interested in becoming a director of LAWEA or you want to suggest any of our members, please send us an e-mail to info@lawea.org
If you want to be postulated for director, explain us the reasons why you would like to be part of our board and which would be your goals within the association, also a small overview of your career, which shows why you have the right profile to become LAWEA's director.


Guadalajara is proud to host WIND EXPO – LAWEA 2008

During last decades, the wind power has taken a significant role in energy sector especially in Europe and North America and the perspectives of development are still encouraging. Nevertheless, the last years’ increase of a technology and the change of the social and political conditions in Latin America have brought the wind and renewable energy to a special place. Those facts drive to the creation of LAWEA and now are making us to organize WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008, which will be only a step away from seeking the definitive deployment of the clean energy at the region, main need of today's world demands.

Guadalajara, symbol of the Mexican culture, will be the host of this important event. You are cordially invited to attend WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008.
