NEWS ARGENTINA: Wind power project hearing concludes positively in Pampa Malaspina, Chubut.
In recent days, there was a hearing for the wind farm Malaspina, a project submitted by the company Centro Eolico Pampa de Malaspina S.A., which envisages the deployment of about 40 wind turbines to be located in the town of Camarones, Chubut province. This hearing was scheduled in the process of Environmental Impact Study Evaluation of the Law 5439 of the Environmental Code of Chubut province, in a joint action of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development Control and the Sub-Secretary of Environmental Management, with a notable presence and participation of citizens in general. It is noteworthy that technical details of the project were released during the hearing, between which is the installation of 40 wind turbines, willing to be located in the area of Pampa Malaspina, 130km from the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, in addition to supply 40MW of power for the interconnection system of Patagonia. During the hearing, a representative of the Patagonia Third Millennium Foundation pointed out the need to bet for the wind energy, based on the premise of diversifying the national energy matrix.
