PLAN 8 located in Eckernförde (northern part of Germany) could today successfully clear the way for the largest wind park project in the history of the company: A joint venture-agreement was closed with a partner enterprise from Panama for the project called AZUERO, nearby the pacific coast of Panama, with a capacity of 180 MW. All preliminary talks with the local assent agencies and the other included institutions as well as the land owners have been very successful. Most of the needed assets for the project have been already submitted to the agencies.

During the negotiations PLAN 8 could take hold against several competitors, especially some others from Germany. PLAN 8 was able to safe 90 % of the joint venture by contract, in which the local partner hold 10 %.

The PLAN 8 company in detail:

The founder of the company - Dirk Jesaitis - is one German pioneer in the wind power business. He has an international approved expertise. Mr. Jesaitis has been working since the end of the 80’s in this business and together with his father he implemented 1991 the first project with two wind turbines at the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein. The individual enterprise came up in the 90’s as "planning agency Jesaitis" and changed 2002 in „4WIND GmbH“, which now operates under the name "PLAN 8 GmbH" since 8th of august 2008. Mr. Jesaitis was a founder of several other enterprises in the same business as well, plus board member of the German wind energy association e. V.

The company is located in the technique and ecology-centre of Eckernfoerde and consists of eight employees, plus several freelancers of different disciplines, which are necessary for a successful project management. Until today 120 wind turbines from different manufacturers with a capacity between 250 kW and 2.5 MW have been installed. More turbines with a power of over 200 MW in Germany are planned. The international activities of the company are focused on Panama, Bulgaria, Greece and Egypt. Since more than a year PLAN 8 develops several solar projects as well.
