NEWS MEXICO: Supermarkets in Mexico will be supplied by wind power. The wind energy farm that Wal-Mart develops in the state of Oaxaca will be able to operate in 2009. LAWEA HIGHLIGHTS LAWEA has formed its first board of directors.It is an honor for LAWEA to present the first board of directors of our association. An excellent group of people are committed to LAWEA and all of its members to work positively forward to the development of wind energy in Latin America. Deadline for abstracts submission for WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008 is almost close! The next April 11th, is the deadline for abstracts submission for WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008. Despite being our first event, the response has been positive and now we can ensure an excellent content in the conferences that we will have in November. LAWEA conducted a press conference in Guadalajara to present WIND LAWEA EXPO 2008 On April 16, from 11:00 am, LAWEA conducted at the facilities of EXPO GUADALAJARA a press conference to introduce our event WIND LAWEA EXPO 2008 and at the same time inform the local media of the need to promote wind energy throughout Latin America. LAWEA will be and exhibitor at Expo Ahorro Energía 2008 On April 24 – 26, in CINTERMEX, Monterrey, NL, México, LAWEA will be an exhibitor at Expo Ahorro de Energía 2008. www.expoahorroenergia.com LAWEA will participate in the Wind Power Industrial Exhibition, in Caracas, Venezuela. As part of the Industrial Exhibition on Wind Energy organized by the Centre for Renewable Energy Studies, Institute of Energy, Simon Bolivar University; LAWEA will be part of the conferences where will present his newly selected board of directors.
