The renewable energies have gained importance in recent decades because of the negative impact of fossil fuels. Science and technology have played as a tool for social progress, and technological development presents as opposed to social benefit, with an accelerated destruction of natural resources and its progressive depletion.

The wind power is inspired by the extraordinary strength of the wind that moves the mill or wind turbine, and the Sun, who in a complementary manner generates temperature changes causing air currents. As an outstanding feature of this technology, we can mention that it is sustainable and inexhaustible, it operates in harmony with the environment, it does not affect plant life, air or climate, and it does not present risks to human health.

Under current conditions, wind energy is perhaps the most clean and profitable option. While it is possible to find some encouraging signs of wind-electric centrals in our country, it is undeniable that in other countries, like Germany, wind power currently accounts for 20 percent of its total energy capacity. However its territory accounts for about one fifth of the surface of Mexico.

The renewable energies have gained importance in recent decades because of the negative impact of fossil fuels. One of the renewable resources that have received much attention is the wind potential, and according to the World Wind Energy Association, the total installed wind capacity in the world at the beginning of 2007 was 79,000 megawatts, most of them developed in Europe.
