NEWS

European companies will be able to invest in Venezuela

On the past May 13, in the city of Lisboa, was released to the media that the companies Energias de Portugal (EDP) and Galp are interested in being part of the construction of wind farms in Venezuela, where this market is not fully used.

These companies arrived at the Latin-American country with the Portuguese State Chief, with the intention to negotiate, with companies and authorities of Venezuela, the possible installation of wind farms.

Meanwhile, the company Galp completed successfully its visit to South America, because on the next day, the construction of wind farms became official.

In turn, Energías de Portugal Renovables (EDP) did not have the same success on its visit to Venezuela; however, they have planned some meetings at the highest level to discuss their possible entrance into the exploitation of the wind market in that country.

It is important to remark that the first step for both companies is to carry out investigations respecting the wind, so they can determinate the energetic potential in Venezuela from this source, and for that, they have to faithfully implement the proposed transactions.

This is the reason why the diplomatic relations of both nations are welcome and will benefit both nations.
