NICARAGUA: The Nicaraguan company Blue Power & Energy S.A will soon develop a wind project

The Nicaraguan company Blue Power & Energy S.A., who is building a wind energy farm in the southern department of Rivas, has decided to change the location of their wind project due to the sale of the property in which the wind farm was going to be installed.

For this reason, Blue Power & Energy SA, in its goal to go ahead with this project, carried out the necessary formalities for relocation of the provisional license, which was granted by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), and also obtained the permit of environmental impact management, awarded by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the new location known as Saint Martin.

A senior officer of the Nicaraguan company reported that, while they have been working for over five years in the development of this project that was established in La Fe, Blue Power & Energy SA took the decision to relocate its project on an adjacent land called Saint Martin, as La Fe Farm was acquired by the Nicaraguan state, which in turn yielded to the state-owned mixed capital (Nicaraguan-Venezuelan), Albanisa, the go-ahead to begin studies on the construction of a wind farm.

Currently, Blue Power & Energy SA is waiting for the imminent final license that will allow beginning construction of its wind farm in Saint Martin.
