Argentina will develop wind turbine after signing agreement.
Following the agreement that the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Nation, the provinces of Neuquen and Rio Black and the municipalities Neuquina Plaza Huincul and Cutral Co have signed, the development of the first wind turbine designed in Argentina was announced.
This wind turbine will be named EOLIS-15 since it will have an output of 1.5 MW, as well as being 9 meters higher than the obelisk in Buenos Aires. The design is headed by the state company INVAP, a company that has experience in high quality technology production at the international level.
This project is still in early stages and has a projected final average of between 2 and 3 years until its conclusion, which will lead to international approval for the global market sale.
However, private companies are already interested in building the turbine in Argentina, the priority at the moment is the acknowledgment that would have in other countries, considering the developed convincingly that the wind energy has had around the world, and this is substantiation from year 2007, since 20000 MW of new mills came into service worldwide, whose investment were for $44000 million dollars.
It is important to mention that Argentina, according to studies of various companies, has the feasibility of installing and producing electricity through wind turbines worldwide and become a leader in this industry.
