LAST NEWS LATIN & SOUTH AMERICA WIND FARM MAP TO BE PRODUCED La Tene Maps are happy to announce that the Latin American Wind Energy Association (LAWEA) and the company are to cooperate to produce a Wind Farm Map of Latin and South America. This will be first time that such a map will have been produced and it should help promote the growth of the South American Wind Farm industry in the America's and in Europe. The map will be 1000 x 700mm and will show all wind farms in place, under construction, and where known we will include planned and proposed projects. These are shown by colour coded symbols. Each site will have information relating to site name, generating capacity and its operator or owner. Where available we will also show grid infrastructure to show the relationship of wind farms to the electricity grid. The map title, Legend and notes will be in two languafges, English and Spanish. This map will be distributed FREE at WIND EXPO LAWEA 2008 - the first international Wind and Renewable Energy Conference and Exposition to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 5-7th November 2008.The Latin American Wind Energy Association will distribute bulk copies of the map to its national association members for local distribution. La Tene Maps will print a separate print run for distribution in Europe. La Tene Maps Chief Executive Mr John Coleman speaking on the cooperation announcement said: "We have been cooperating with various renewable energy associations in Europe over the past five years to map out various aspects of renewable energy. This new cooperation with the Latin American Wind Energy Association is our first cooperation outside of Europe. It will help us in our aim to have all the worlds wind farms mapped by 2009. The new map will be funded by sponsorship by way of advertising. This covers the production costs and allows us to distribute the map free to the Industry.
